The Academic and Student Life series contains materials related to the student experience during the early years of the college. Materials cover the commencement ceremonies, student periodicals, student compositions, associated students meeting minutes, gradebooks, academic prospectus' and rosters. Thes materials include formats such as clippings, photographs, artifacts, and ephemera.

A Friendly Place was established as a drop-in homeless and transitional housing center in Oakland, California. Founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph Carondelet, it was later operated by St. Mary's Center.
